Windows Sandbox failed to start. Error 0х80070426 - Windows 10 Ent 1903_x64 (dvd_37200948)

After installing the Sandbox add-on in Windows, the Windows Sandbox option damaged many Windows programs, I decided to turn on this option separately after installation. The update was installed successfully. Then I restarted the computer, the Internet explorer stopped running, the net framework is not detected by the system, all windows in the explorer hang, I decided to disable this option, after uninstalling this option, the menu with the choice of additional components no longer showed the list, the Internet Explorer was completely removed, any launch of the software leads to errors, failed to start the program.

I had restore points, but they also could not return the system to a good condition. My question is why does Windows Sandbox tightly kill the system ?! I had to reinstall everything! And I will never turn on this option again!

What is the exact make and model?

Open Start, type: system information
Hit Enter
Click System summary
Look in the right pane

Copy the system sku info into reply here.

See example: https://imgur.com/qzektpA

Its possible you might need to update your BIOS and Chipset drivers to improve stability. its heavily dependent on virtualization technologies in the system and performance recommends at least a system with 2 or more cores and minimum 8 GBs of RAM.

Hi Andre,

All virtualization programs work fine. My question is why this option damaged the system files, this situation worries me.

Well, its an extremely new feature to Windows 10, so, maybe there are some bugs the engineers need to work on.

I would also recommend you file a bug report; send me the short link so I can vote on it and bring it to the attention of the Windows engineers.

I had the same error message. It has been resolved in my case by enabling "DNS Client" Service. This service is required also by MS Edge.

In my opinion this is a bug in Windows 10 to require DNS Client service to run Windows Sandbox or MS Edge.
