Windows 10 FREE for STUDENTS but no ACTIVATION CODE

Hello,

I am a college student in Ireland. I have recently purchased a MacBook air to use for education purposes. I installed Windows 10 on the MacBook for free as I recognised the student offer on the Microsoft website. I have an issue regarding the activation code as my computer asks me to activate Windows but I did not receive an activation code. My question is can I get the activation code for free or will I have to pay?

Could you link us where exactly on Microsoft's website you got Windows 10 for free? Because, I'm aware of significant discounts, but not totally free.

When I read your question I got curious, I too am in Ireland and have children in College . . .

Here is the small print on that deal:

"In order to qualify, students need to be attending campuses that have purchased an organization-wide Volume Licensing Program. In some cases this product is not free. Price may vary by school and is subject to change without notice"
