USB flash drives boot independently of the OSes. Are Windows 7 and Windows 10 on different computers?

Thanks. Apparently Windows 10 might require some settings.

Did you change the boot order in BIOS?
If so, make sure Legacy BIOS boot is enabled as the installation media might be based on MBR partition scheme for BIOS.

Also, disable quick/fast boot and disable Secure boot.

My notebook is Samsung, and I already disable quick/fast boot and disable Secure boot, but USB device still not able to be recognized.  Furthermore, Legacy BIOS boot is not available for selection under Samsung Boot menu.

For Advanced Startup Options, I only see 3 following options as shown below:

Choose an option
1) Continue
2) Troubleshoot
3) Turn off your PC

Do you have any suggestions on how to add more option under Advanced Startup Options menu?

Hi,

Advanced Startup options menu would have the same options- the rest of them are listed under troubleshooting.

For Booting try making the media again, using Rufus:

My window 7 notebook is worked under legend BIOS, so my Bootable USB Flash Drive work on window 7, but not work on window 10, would it caused by using UEFI BIOS under window 10?

If yes, would it be possible to enable legend BIOS under window 10?

Do you have any suggestions?

Exactly. A drive on MBR partition scheme(BIOS) would not work with GPT Partition scheme(UEFI)

You have to fiddle out the BIOS settings in order to disable UEFI boot or enabling Legacy boot.

More strongly I recommend you to use a GPT scheme drive- you might have to format the drive if you plan to do a clean install using MBR media.

We recommend using Rufus to create an installation media of your choice. Method 2 is Rufus which is discussed in detail here:

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2376-create...

For UEFI: You should select the GPT partition scheme for UEFI (your Windows 10 device) and for BIOS you should select MBR partition scheme for BIOS(for Windows 7 one)

The tool provided by Microsoft only creates the partition scheme according to the computer on which it was made.
