Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus not work on Windows 10

I am an 83 year old man and have used Microsoft products for many years,

I am in desperate trouble since changing to Windows 10. I need help in getting a DVD Moviefacrory software program to operate on Windows 10 and I just cannot afford to buy the compatible version.

Your team installed my existing programs in Windows 10 when I changed from Windows 8.1. The software program, originally worked with XP, and reasonably well on Windows 8.1 but does not function on Windows 10. 

Is there any way that Microsoft can assist me please, please. I seriously deed to be able to convert VHS tapes to DVD and the Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus software does the job beautifully!

1. What error message you're getting while accessing the Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus application?

2. Is the problem with run time error?

3. Do you have Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus software setup file with you?


If yes for the second question, then follow the steps while launching the application.


* While launching the application, instead of double-clicking on it, right-click on it and select Troubleshoot compatibility from context menu.

* Select Try recommended settings, then click Test this program. If it works fine click Next and follow the onscreen instruction to complete the action. Once done, try to check the issue and see if it still occurs.


Also try with the option Troubleshoot program, then select the checkbox on the screen that you notice accordingly and follow the onscreen instruction to complete. If it doesn't fix the issue, then try installing the application in compatibility mode.


a. Download the Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus setup file from the developer’s website if you don't have the one.

b. Right-click on the setup file and click on ‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 or 8.1 or 7 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
