How to get rid of the "ready to install" popup at startup.

Do I need to uninstall the Win10 files that downloaded to get rid of this daily annoyance?

Could you post a screenshot of what you are seeing? Because I am not aware of any such pop up.

Here it is.  It comes up EVERYTIME I boot up my computer.  Very annoying, to say the least.

You can defer the upgrade using one of the following options:

The best way to defer the Windows 10 upgrade is by using third party tools. They are easy to use and are faster.

Option 1: How to Disable the Get Windows 10 Update GWX App Completely

Option 2: Stop the Windows 10 Upgrade with Never 10 or the GWX App Itself

I've done the Never 10, but that popup continues.  I guess deleting the Win 10 files, if I can find them all, is the only thing I can do.

I can't find the Win 10 files to delete them. They don't appear to be in the Downloads where I expected them to be.

I continue, months later, to have this same annoying problem.  The only way I can get away from it temporarily is to schedule it three days out and then continue to change that date.  It's very annoying and, in attempting to answer an email this morning, the ^%$# thing suddenly restarted my laptop and apparently attempted to install Win10.

I had to pull the plug, literally, to stop it.

I've found a lot of gwx files at C:\windows\winsxs

but, of course, I don't have "permission" to rename or delete.

I guess I'll have to try to find someone to pay to get this *&^% nuisance off this laptop.
