I too, am experiencing this same error on my HP Pavilion G6 notebook.
The notebook came with windows 7, and I updated it to windows 8 from the Microsoft website for school. When I got the notification to upgrade to windows 10 I did so, and now I am getting this error. I have browsed all over the internet for a solution and can not seem to find anything.

I get this boot message when starting up my computer, but after it restarts, the pc boots up just fine.

I am also getting message and have same make model laptop so I'm wondering if it's a driver issue with HP or something else. It's only when starting up. I was getting this issue upon sleep and hibernation as well but I shut those options off and it stopped for those, now it's just on startup, it reboots and I'm good to go all day.

Soo... Everyone here has my laptop? lol. It's definitely the model. I upgraded but a lot things went wrong, I thought clean installing would fix this particular issue. NOPE. It does start up a little faster though.

This looks pretty close to the reason, albeit it refers to Windows 8. To access the advanced boot options in Windows 10 you just hold shift while you press Restart.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary hardware. Remove universal serial bus (USB) devices; remove or disable network adapters, sound cards, and serial cards; and then restart the installation.

I have the same laptop and had the same problem, I downloaded and installed the latest Catalyst drivers from ATI and it seems to have fixed the problem so far.  Although the error did not cause any problems after the system would restart it was kind of annoying because of the extra startup time.  Hopefully if you update your drivers the problem will be solved.

After Windows has finished installing reinstall any components you have removed and re-enable any hardware you disabled.  Windows will then install the drivers for those devices, or you can install any manufactures drivers for your specific hardware.

Ya see that doesn't help. I did a clean install of windows 10, and my HP laptop doesn't support anything, it says I will get all future updates through windows. Windows installed all my drivers. They are all functioning properly every one. Yet I'm still getting this damn error. I spent hours on the phone and online with MS support and the girl was like this is a new problem. I ended up getting pissed, showed her this forum and told her this goes back to windows 8 and this issue has been around a long long time. Now I have to live with it basically because it's unfixable they have no clue why it's happening.
