How to change the language on Windows 10 Home Single Language Edition.

Hi all,

I just bought a new laptop, in Colombia. I'm Dutch and I live and work this country. It is a Lenovo with Windows 10 Home. The standard language is set to Spanish. I assumed that it should be an easy thing to change the language to English. Apparently it's not, because I have the Windows 10 Home Single Language edition. I never heard of this edition and this is something you only learn after the purchase. I've tried many things the change the language , but so far I failed.

To be honest I think it's a bit strange to be bound to one single language, and that it is not easy to change it. But anyway, is there any way (without buying Pro) to change the language after all? I decided to switch from the uncomplicated and easy-to-use Chromebook to Windows again, but so far I'm still using my Chromebook since my Spanish operating system language skills are terrible.  Hence, I really hope someone can help me out.

Thanks!

Marcel

Hi,
Sorry for getting back to you late.
Unfortunately you cannot do that on Windows 10 Home. You will have to buy Windows 10 Pro pack to install English Lanuage pack.

Hope this helps.

Go to Control Panel > Language.

It will show your installed languages. Above the languages, there is an "Add a Language" link you can click on.
