Canon Printer Problem

I have a Lenovo Ultrabook and a Canon Laptop.  When I bought the printer I immediately connected wirelessly with NO problem.  Lately, I have been having a lot of problems printing from Word and from the internet.  I uninstalled the canon printer (Pixma MG2900 series) and reinstalled it and the printer worked immediately.  But since then I am unable to print.  Error message is always "Printer Offline"  I finally after several weeks of frustration not being able to print, today I have been playing around with uninstalling and reinstalling the printer.  Now the error message says "Printer cant print from Microsoft Word".  It doesn't print from ANYWHERE! internet, word or otherwise! what in the world is going on?  I am so confused!  Help!
