Snipping Tool

I have Windows 10. Recently, for no known reason, the snipping tool quit working. The icon is still there, but nothing happens. I also cannot find where it lives so I can uninstall and reinstall it. Anyone help?

Should be listed in Programs and Features as Snip:

Press Windows key + X

Click Programs & Features

Scroll down to Snip, select it then click Uninstall on the Command bar

It is in %windir%\system32\SnippingTool.exe

Just try running it from there and if it works, just create a shortcut to it.

No uninstall / reinstall is possible for the snipping tool.  It is not listed in Programs & features or in its subsection Turn Windows features on or off.

This is the Snipping tool icon Image   Andre's comment relates to an additional app he has downloaded called Microsoft Snip.

Of the two replies I received re: my inquiry about Snipping Tool, Mr. DeCosta's reply didn't work at all. Nothing about it had any meaning. Tryx3 also did not work, but it at least led to a link enabling us to download a completely different snipping tool app.

The problem got taken care of accidentally, but I still have no idea how to find and/or re-activate Snipping Tool on a computer.

"Tryx3 also did not work" - so the file %windir%\system32\SnippingTool.exe does not exist?
