Sorry -- this is just ONE BIG MESS with Windows 10. Neither the Upgrade nor a Clean Install works right !! MicroSoft REALLY needs to fix all these complex problems !! I see absolutely NO benefit to switch to Windows 10. Please convince me otherwise !!

All these multiple hassles & frustrations with Windows 10 is just NOT worth it !! Obviously MicroSoft did not create a smooth transition for Consumers to switch to Windows 10. WHAT A BIG JOKE !!  I tried both sides of the fence & NO LUCK: 1) Update to Windows 10 from Windows 7. It did NOT work well. In fact, it made my Laptop performance WORSE. After Windows 10 Update, my Laptop performed sluggish & clogged. 2) Tried to do a Clean Install of Windows 10. Spent 1.5 Hours on Phone With MicroSoft Tech Support. I could not get Windows 10 Installation Files saved onto USB FlashDrive. It is a FACT there are corrupt Windows 10 Installation files out there on the Internet at MicroSoft Website !! Got Error Code 0x80070005-0xA0019. FORGET IT !! I am going back to Windows 7 !! After all these Super Time Consuming hassles with Windows 10 -- I am going to just do a Factory Reset on my Laptop safely back to Windows 7. End Of Story !!

THANKS FOR ALL THE FRUSTRATION & SUPER WASTE OF TIME MICROSOFT !!

I also had this error code appear, and tried multiple times to load Windows 10 install onto a USB key.

In the end I downloaded the .ISO instead and then used a tool called Rufus to load the ISO on to a bootable USB key for my install. Worked perfectly.

Rufus USB tool:

i did it too mate but when i try to boot it  my surface pro 3 shows all : tpm , security boot and those uefi things and when i exit it and save , it restart and then shows that i should boot it via usb drive . Is it because my surface doesn't know the usb ? because it has difficulties in putting in and out  . thanks

Thank you, Heavy-E. I wasted my time doing all the things mentionned in other emails and was ready to give up till I came across your message. I tried with the ISO file option and used the Rufus tool tocopy to my USB key. All worked like charm. Thank you for your message. It was really helpful and very easy to execute to.

I agree with AJV2012's comments.  It is really a shame that Microsoft makes it so difficult to make things work !!

You are fully right. Same Desaster with upgrading from W 8.1 Pro. It's a shame what Microsoft tries to do: To perform a Job they must do free of Charge. I stick with my Installation and do not recommend any attempt to upgrade free of Charge.
