Windows update said it was ready for my upgrade from Windows 8.Pro 1 to Windows 10. It took most of the day but part of the time was it reverting back to 8.1.

On return to the Windows Update, it said Error C1900101-40017:

This is 64-Bit Intel Atom CPU 330 @ 1.60GHz, 4GB RAM - Acer Aspire Revo 3610

I'd be interested in any resolution so I can get Win10 installed.

Thanks,

Gary Davis

Asus N56VM (Intel Core i7 3610QM @ 2.30GHz, 6GB RAM, 512GB SSD-Samsung 840 Evo)

Upgrade process Windows 10:

- Installing features and drivers 100%

- Preparing automatic repair

- diagnosing your PC

Only option is roll back to Windows 7....

The log file (setuperr) last row:

The MediaCreationTool results in the same error, but with more explanation:

Installation failed in the second_boot phase with an error during boot operation

Solved C1900101-40017 ;-) (aug 6th 2015)

After the failure during the upgrade process go to advanced/startup settings en activate disable drivers signature.
The upgrade process continues with configuring and completes with boot Windows 10 ;-)

Hi

When mcrosoft started rolling out the upgrade, i started my upgrade as well, however when the installation used to reach at about 75% my laptop used to restart and then it would stay at the black screen, so i had to forcefully shut it down and then start again, bringing me back to windows 7 again.i tried this method for 5-6 times and failed

Then i factory reset my laptop thinking it would be upgraded this time and again followed the usual steps and failed once more

Today i downloaded windows 10 upgrade file from one of the softwares i found on the microsoft website (previously i was downloading windows 10 from windows update)

The upgrade start normally as usuall and this time as well i got stuck at the black screen and force shut down my laptop and restarted only to find that windows 10 had been successfully  installed on my laptop

You can find "Disable drivers signature" in "advanced -> startup settings" which will be offered after interrupting of the upgrade process (look around in the available menus, I can't remember the full path).

I'm having the same problem when upgrading to Windows 10 from 7-Pro.

At the point you suggest it won't let me get to Advanced-Startup Settings to disable the drivers signatures.

I tried turning it off after first blue screen error message.  Tried F8 and Shift-F7, nothing works.

Then it always restores my computer to Windows 7.

Is there something else to try and figure out what is causing this error?

The blue screen error is ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY

Any help is appreciated.
