What if I require a clean install after a year has past?

What if I install the update date when it is released and in 14 months am required to do a clean install / factory reset. Will I be able to install the update again or will I be stuck in Windows 8.1 and need to be a Window's 10 license? Microsoft has advised that the free update will only be free for 12 months after the initial release.

Microsoft has posted a response that addresses this question.

"Once you upgrade to Windows 10 successfully using the free upgrade offer, you will be able to clean reinstall Windows 10 on the same device during and after the free upgrade offer period without having to purchase Windows 10 or having to go back to the prior version of Windows that you upgraded from."

Sorry for not being clearer about this process.
