I had some problems with Windows Search. I couldn't search for some apps/settings via Cortana search box. I tried it on my sister's machine which also uses Windows 10 and it showed more results for apps, programs, and settings. I realized it might have something
to do with the Indexing on my machine. I tried to re-index but it said Indexing is not running. Used troubleshooter (with Admin Rights) but couldn't get Windows Search Service fixed. Tried to run that service manually but failed. It kept starting and then
stopping. I checked Event Log and found a bunch of similar errors. The problem started occurring after I upgraded to Windows 10.
This is that it said:
Error 1: The Windows Search service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 101 time(s).
Error 2: The Windows Search service terminated with the following error:
The system cannot find the drive specified.
Additionally, I checked the "Turn Windows Feature On and Off" Dialog, there's no index or search feature available on the list which is strange too.
What's wrong?
