Cannot connect laptop to LG TV via wireless - window 10

Dear microsoft,

I used to connect my HP laptop with LG TV via wifi for several of time. Recently, i cannot connect to my LG Smart TV anymore. I use window 10.

It showed the massage as below:

"this device might have trouble displaying your content because its hardware wasn't specifically designed for wireless projection"

I dont know what's going on? Can you help me with that?

Hi Chrissie,

There are several factors that may trigger this problem with your computer's wireless projection. To help us sort out the problem, I would like to ask the following:

  • Were there any changes made on the laptop settings prior to the issue?
  • Have you installed any updates recently?

In the meantime, please go through the items below and make sure everything is met.

  • Make sure the Wi-Fi on your laptop is turned on.
  • Make sure that your device driver is up-to-date. If you haven't installed any driver update recently, then you may check if there are pending updates for Windows 10. Just navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
  • Reboot your laptop as well as your LG TV.
  • Remove and reconnect to your LG TV. To remove, just navigate to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Select your wireless display, then click Remove. Once done, please try to reconnect.

Please update this thread with the result. Looking forward to your reply.

Regards.
