Windows Update error when installing KB3105216

4. Under System and Security,
5. Click on Windows Updates. 

If the issue still persist, I suggest you to disable the antivirus software and Windows Firewall.

Method 2: Disable Antivirus software and Windows Firewall.

Disable the Antivirus software and Windows Firewall temporarily and check if it helps.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect the computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time the antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

1. When (approx.date) did you purchase the Surface Book?

2. What is the full name of your currently-installed third-party anti-virus application or security suite - i.e., not Windows Defender! - (if any), and when (approx. date) does your current subscription (if any) expire?

3. Did a Norton free-trial or a McAfee free-trial [pick one] come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it? (Doesn't matter if you never used or Activated it.)
