Windows 10 Startup Problem (Automatic Repair)

What is the error message you are getting?

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to create an installation media for Windows 10 using the media creation tool:

Step 2: After preparing the installation media, insert it hard reboot the device and follow the below:

1. Boot into Windows Recovery Environment using the Windows 10 installation media.
2. Click on Repair your computer. 
3. Click on Troubleshoot and in the Advanced options.
4. Select Command Prompt. Type the following commands into the prompt and press Enter key after each command.

·         bootrec /fixmbr
·         bootrec /fixboot
·         bootrec /scanos
·         bootrec /rebuildbcd 

    5.  Restart the computer.   

NOTE: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Should the media be in iso format or extracted format?

I suggest you to refer the Microsoft link and perform all the steps in the article on Windows error message "Bootmgr

is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" and check if it helps.

• When you say “it doesnt contain my own serial key”, what is the error message you get?

If Windows 10 came pre-installed on the pc then you can also perform a clean install of Windows 10 and get your copy activated over phone if the online activation does not help.

As you have already upgraded to Windows 10 on your pc previously and as the pc is stuck at the reboot loop, you may follow these steps:

• Unplug all external devices connected to the pc and shut down the pc. After 3 minutes restart the pc to check if you are able to get to the desktop.

• Once you are able to get to the desktop screen, ensure to install all pending updates. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

As previously provided by the other technician you may download the ISO file and perform a clean install of Windows 10 on the same pc and you do not need a product key. After the installation you may have to take help from the phone activation team to get your copy activated.
