Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 does not complete installation

Hello,

I have windows 10 Home 64bit installed (ver 1703) As you can see on the image below i've tried to install Fall creators Update 7 times.

At all of them the update was downloaded succesfully, but during the restart process i always get the error message shown below:

The information at the bottom of the screen says:

"Stop Code: DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

What failed: NDIS.SYS"

After that the PC restarts and rolls back to previous version of Windows.

How can i upgrade to ver 1709?

Thank you in advance.

I might suggest to take the rt640x64.sys out of the equation by disabling the onboard LAN in the BIOS.

Then try running the update again..

Consider uninstalling any VPN software and VirtualBox beforehand.

Afterwards you can reinstall the software and re-enable the onboard LAN.
