Windows 10 fails to update- Stuck in a loop of updating

Help Please---

As with many other Windows 10 users, my pc is also having issues updating to the last release.  It is stuck on a continuous loop and it does not complete the update.  I have researched all options, and as many, nothing seems to work.  When will Microsoft provide a solution?

I also have this problem with one update KB140768. It configures and then when it cannot complete it removes the changes and then reconfigures again. locks up the pc for some 15 minutes.

I eventually contacted Windows Support and after several hours of attempting to correct the issue they downloaded a Windows 10 version 1511.1 which appears to have solves the problem.

Hi Survana,

I followed your instructions and used the update trouble shooter. I received the message "windows update components must be repaired"  The message was followed by the word fixed and a green check mark; but the results of restarting the computer went back to the loop & the update failed to install.

What would you advise as the next step?

Thank you,     C
