Original title: 0xc0000428 & 0xc0000225 Error Messages After Restarting
Ok, so, I have an HP PC with windows 10 at retail and, after AVG removed some unsafe files and required a restart, and I think certain other things needed updating, and completing the updates first, after restarting, my computer keeps going to a blue 0xc0000225 error screen talking about how "a required device isn't connected or can't be accessed". Once, however, I use F8 to get to the different options and hit 7 to disable the force driver signature recognition, the computer starts up correctly after a restart. However, I have to do this every time I restart or turn off the PC. Also, if I instead hit, I think, 8, to turn off the early anti virus start up upon boot up, I get instead a blue 0xc0000428 message, talking about how it cannot access Windows\System32\drivers\sfvfs02.sys.
Now, I don't have an actual disc for Windows 10. The PC came with it, the home edition (64bit), but without any disc. Of course, I can get to the various recovery options using escape and then F11, and thus the troubleshooter options etc., and I can do something once I get it started up too, but I'm looking to not actually redo anything yet. I just want to know my options before I have to Reset the PC, regardless whether or not I keep my personal files.
Lastly, more recently, all my win10 apps stopped starting after a bit of using the PC after the unresolved trouble with the boot up, and not even the start menu button activates nor even the calendar. It just does the little loading icon for a split second and stops. Photos and other media apps wont load and the store will not load at all either. There's no real error message for these, either.
I want to know what my options are at this moment, or if resetting the PC will even work all the way through. I've already uninstalled AVG just to make sure, as well as certain other programs. Should I uninstall dropbox? Would using the trick of using the command prompt to reconfigure the partition work? There isn't any Norton program on the PC at the moment, either. So far nothing has worked and, again, I want to know what my options are in this situation. Thanks for your time!
