KB3163018 causing problems with Cisco CCX/Finesse web pages

We updated some Windows 10 workstations with the June 2016 updates; KB3163018 was one of those. Updated machines that were able to get to Cisco wallboard previous to the update got a page cannot be displayed in IE and Edge. It works correctly in Chrome. We uninstalled KB3163018 and the sites display correctly. I know there have been issues reported on the web about GP not updating, but I suspect that KB3163649 and 3163656 might be the problem. However, since they are part of the cumulative update, you cannot install just those to and still get the others. Has anyone else experienced an browsing issues after installing this update?

Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing in Windows. We will help you.

In rare cases, a specific driver or update might temporarily cause issues with your device, and in this case you will need a way to prevent the problematic driver or update from reinstalling automatically the next time Windows Updates are installed.

There could be drivers for the Windows which may conflict your PC from functioning better. So the tool can be used. Windows update updates the system files more importantly in the priority and then updates the drivers. So if you are finding any driver updates in the tool then those might be the upcoming updates which you can hide or show.

To temporarily prevent the driver or update from being installing until a new driver or updated fix is available, a troubleshooter is available that provides a user interface for hiding and showing Windows Updates and drivers for Windows 10. You can obtain and run the "Show or hide updates" troubleshooter by downloading it from the Microsoft Download Center.

Hope this helps, let us know the status of the issue.

The trouble we have is I have over 200 Windows 10 machines and cannot go to each one and run a tool to view the updates. We use WSUS and I had hoped that there would be a way to split out the Cumulative update so we can disable the two patches I mentioned and then have that push. I have for the time being approved the update for removal in WSUS so it will handle removing it. I am concerned about the other fixes and not having them. Does MSFT QA these updates or are they blaming Cisco on this one?

The KB3163018 patch breaks my Centricity PACS IW webpage as well for medical facilities. The only fix is to uninstall the KB patch which takes about 20 min per workstation.

Yes, this update is breaking the State of Texas TER web site for Death Certificates.   It has something to do with the security update for Internet Explorer.

I am having a similar issue with this patch and the Business Objects Launch Pad website.  Uninstalled the patch and everything works fine.  With the patch installed, "Page Cannot Be Displayed" in IE11 and Edge Browser.
