KB3124263 Update unable to install, no error code

Have tried 3x to install Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3124263) but after restart tells me it was unable to install but no error code.  Have tried with ZoneAlarm off but get the same results.

Hi Thomas,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

This update for Windows 10 includes functionality improvements and resolves the vulnerabilities in Windows.

For more information on this Cumulative Update refer the below.
Cumulative update for Windows 10:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3124263

Method 1: Disable or Uninstall any third party Antivirus software

Once you have disabled it try installation again. See if it helps.

Disclaimer: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I would also suggest you to perform a clean boot.

Method 2: Put the computer into clean boot state then try installing the update.

To disable all non-Microsoft services consult the article called Clean Boot.
Follow:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, refer to this section "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting"

Disclaimer: A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. You may also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.

Keep us informed if the issue is resolved. We are glad to help you further.

Thank you
