How to stop Windows Defender Definitions Update after installing another AV & Security Software
I have Surface Pro 4 with Win 10. I initially started out using Windows Defender but decided to switch to Norton 360. The issue that I am experiencing is that Windows Defender continues to try to install definitions. I would like to know if there is
a way to stop Windows Update from downloading and trying to install the Defender Definition Updates?

When you deploy the standalone application, search for the KB number for Windows Defender installed, place a check mark on that and follow the on-screen instructions.
Microsoft will not recommend the user to hide the updates, as the latest updates released will have the fixes for the previous updates and security updates will also be offered for the users.
