Error: "We couldn't complete the updates/Undoing changes/Don't turn off your computer" while installing the updates KB3140768 and KB3140743 on Windows 10

The cumulative update for KB3140768 is failing, in the same way as KB3140743 is failing.

At around 80% one gets the message "We couldn't complete the updates/Undoing changes/Don't turn off your computer ." and everything is rolled back.

This happens at version 1511 10586.104 ( since KB3140743 it is not working either the version is not 1511 10586.122 )

Does anybody know what to do about this situation.

My frustration about Windows 10 is growing. By comparison Windows 7 was an oasis of stability.

Resetting updates is not helpful.

I have same issue - fresh (month old) installation, only few programs.

I didn't mean to offend you(but you insulted me by calling a spammer),

Lets say the original asker had the problem solved by the reset. You say your problem hasn't been solved and a 3rd person comes who says the same as you and I post again and again in this thread with the possible solutions.

In this case, the original asker is getting useless emails which he doesn't relate to.

It becomes very confusing for us to handle 3 problems in a single thread, that is why I asked starting up a new question.

I think it's always simple to unsubscribe from this thread if someone don't want to read it. I don't think there is like ultimate solution in this thread and it doesn't seems to resolve same issues for more people - maybe in future I will create new post, but I think if many people have same issue would be good to let it in this-one and discuss about possible solutions here.

And sorry to be quite rude, but I spent so many hours dealing with this issue and everyone is advising same "tutorial" which is not working. Like reset updates, run sfc scan, and start clean boot state - but none of this really works.
