also getting this error:

Service registration is missing or corrupt

Others seem to be having the same problem since the last Windows 10 Update.

Also when my computer restarts, the disk space pegs at 100% for 5-10 minutes then resumes at ~6%

Windows Search is disabled.

Hi,

Update KB4015438 has just been released that resolves this issue. To get it right of way click on Check for updates in settings.

Looks like KB4015438 fixed this issue for me. DVD player was crashing upon reading any DVD prior to patching. Now it seems to be working, at least for one DVD. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback David, this update was released to address two issues from the previous update, this was one of them, as per MS:

"Addressed a known issue with KB4013429 that caused Windows DVD Player (and 3rd party apps that use Microsoft MPEG-2 handling libraries) to crash."
