I continuously try to install the update KB3213986 on my windows 10 HP spectre labtop. It always ends with 'it failed to install'. Troubleshooting windows updates does not help, I get all aspects green, but it still does not install. The same problem when I use the standalone file KB3213986 which I downloaded from Microsoft.

You saved my day!!!!!! I exactly followed your suggestions – same result. My update status is now, up to date. Removing and re-installing KB3206632 probably did the job. I used the standalone versions of both updates, as you suggested.
