Question

Q: Can't go back to windows 7

After upgrading last night and not getting internet on win 10 I tried to back back to win 7 but it said you can't go back files where removed....after TEN MINUTES. I removed nothing but the VPN programs and anti virus that I read caused the internet problome at least that was kinda fixed. But I still can't downgrade.

Hi Furydeath,

I have downgraded multiple times, so it should work.  Try going into system settings and typing in "downgrade."  Then downgrade from W10 (Windows 10).  If that does not work try to delete/uninstall your security system then try downgrading.  The security system sometimes might prevent the Upgrade or even downgrade of W10.

What type of internet security or system security do you have?

I had nod32 tho I deleted when I saw peopel say it was what was causing the internet to not work

I have EXACTLY same error msg!!! Can anyone tell me what to do ? my files was broken after upgraded to windows 10, and the pc was busy repairing the system itself, and then i had to reinstall the system of windows 10 which became a disaster for me now, cuz I dont have the function of downgrade to win7 any more , no bottom in security functions! I guess it's because of the re-installation that the link between win7 and win10 is broken. Now i downloaded win7 package and try to reinstall it, exactly same error msg:

Windows could not update the installation files. To install windows close setup and restart the installation. Error code 0x6

hope someone can help me. Thank you.
