I've recently upgraded to windows 10 and I've been trying to update it, however when I try it gets stuck on Preparing to install updates 0% and after a long time it gives me the timeout error code (0x800705b4). Does anyone know what the cause might be
and how to fix it?

Select Control panel.
In the search box, typeTroubleshooterand then click Troubleshooting.

Click on Windows Updates.
Method 2: Disable Antivirus software
Disable the Antivirus software temporarily and check if it helps.
Note: Antivirus software can help protect the computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not
disable the antivirus software. If you do have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time the antivirus software is disabled,
your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
After disabling the antivirus software, try upgrading to Windows 10 and check.
