Performing new out of box preps on laptops running windows 10 after setting up OS connect to network to run windows 10 updates for the first time, windows checks for updates, shows available updates however when trying to install gets error 0x80244018 the error shows up on all the available updates. Update history shows failed to install, I am running updates through admin account.
We performed several imagining and setups for a variety of PC brands this is the first time we ran into this issue when running windows updates.
I dis-able the fire wall and followed other suggestions
I ran the windows update troubleshooting tool on one of the new laptops it reported problem found " Service registration is missing or corrupt" status Fixed.
Clicked to Retry windows updates it scans and pulls up the same available updates.
Any thoughts?
