How can I remove Windows Ink & Touch from Windows 10 1709 FOR GOOD?

Windows Ink will enable you to jot sticky notes, sketch, and draw on screenshots with your pen. If you're having difficulties using the feature, or if you really want to eliminate it on your computer, you may follow these steps on how to disable it via Local Group Policy Editor. Here's how:

1. Press the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command.
2. Type gpedit.msc and click OK.
3. Select Computer Configuration.

4. Expand the following path: Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Ink Workspace

5. Double-click the Allow Windows Ink Workspace setting.

6. Check the Enabled option.

7. Under Options, select Disabled from the drop-down menu.

8. Click Apply.

9. Click OK.

10. Restart your computer.

After you restart your computer, the Windows Ink icon will no longer appear in the taskbar. You will also notice that the "Show Windows Ink Workspace button" option on the taskbar context menu will be unavailable.

Guys, why do you hate artists this much?

Every update you release messes up everything, Photoshop, Illustrator, tablets and 3d programs. We try to fix things manually for few days, that is if we can fix it ourselves. I mean really, for years this issue persists seemingly without a solution on the horizon. 

I can't even complete this complaint without swearing, sorry, but it is so frustrating to explain your clients the situation while you are unable to work properly due to an unwanted update which you realize too late. It costs time, energy and money in an industry everyone expects quick results from artists. 

Please just leave this Windows Ink and related stuff apart from your updates that causing so much problem every time, if possible just remove it as a whole really. 

open the command prompt and paste this: reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pen /v LegacyPenInteractionModel /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

I don't have idea what it does exactly, but it really works!. I had a problem only in Clip Studio, if I did a line short around 100 degrees, (Up or down) the app doesn't registry the line like if you put out the focus of the program...

The problem is that Microsoft has decided to use one OS for any device, who's owner is dumb enough to install Windows on it.

This means that as a desktop PC user Microsoft installs a ton of crap that I don't need/can't use just because they are too lazy/greedy to have separate OS's for computers, tablets and phones.

I'm not too far from turning my PC into a Hackintosh so I don't have to put up with this crap...

This does absolutely nothing to solve the problem!!!

I followed all of your instruction and still I have the fricken pen icon in the lower right hand corner.

Can you please post a proper solution on how to get rid of tablet crap from my desktop PC?

I TOTALLY agree!! For months now I have struggled with this **** on my computer.  I am a photographer and graphic designer and all it does is **** with my WACOM settings so that nothing works properly and I waste hours and hours sitting and waiting for browser windows and photoshop settings to reset and work.

I have tried the Run command gpedit.msc crap and it says that it can't find it on my computer.

I want this **** OFF now.

SO freaking over it.  Microsoft, are you going to pay me for all of the hours of valuable work time I have wasted on this?  Productivity and efficiency is destroyed with this on my computer.
