Windows 10: Dual Monitor Lock Screen Slide show not working

In Windows 8/8.1 The Lock Screen slideshow would show on both monitors. Since up dating to windows 10 it only displays on one Monitor. The other monitor is just black/blank.

I have since tried:

- Selecting different folders/drives/locations to play the slideshow from.

- Refreshed install of Windows 10

- Using the built in picture function

Any suggestion on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. It either a Bug or Windows 10 team have removed this feature for some pointless reason.

I'm seeing the same issue.  Lock Screen slideshow is only on one monitor.

That's correct.  The lock screen slideshow was rearchitected for this release, and is single monitor at this time.  The team's aware of this request, but I'll +1 the feedback here. :)

+2 and +3 and +10000 it please.  Why would they remove something that everyone liked and no one complained about?

Ugh.

I can't even get one of my monitors to work--when choosing a folder for it to pull from it doesn't "see" any pictures and gives the "you need more than one picture to show in your slideshow" error. I've tried several different folders that have pictures in them. They show in File Explorer and they are the same folders I used for this in Win8.1.

Anything unique or interesting about those folders?  Are they some sort of internet-synced folder, mapped network locations, or something odd?  If you copy a couple of the files to a different folder under c:\users\YOU\pictures and then use that folder, does that work?  Did your monitor resolution change so that some of the old good files might now be undersized?

nope, nothing unusual. just a folder named 'wallpaper' in the regular users pictures folder you mentioned. I've also tried the pictures folder itself, other folders that I know pictures are in (projects of mine, etc.), and the desktop--it doesn't seem to see images anywhere for some reason.

no screen resolution change either.

thank you

I had the same problem until I updated my the VIDEO driver for my computer. I actually  had a clue about that ... since my other (slightly newer computer of the same model), automatically upgraded video drivers (prompted me) a few days before July 29 ... and so I went looking into my update history and lo and behold found that particular update had not occurred on the computer where the slideshow wasn't working ... once I updated the video driver the slideshow started working on the one screen ...

... so you might want to check into that ...

... as everybody else here says though --- not still not working on both of my 2 screens!

Just remembered ... I also couldn't get the slideshow to work at all on my very new Dell Inspiron 14 laptop ... that came factory installed with software called Fast Access ... that would have allowed me to login with facial recognition --- since it displayed with the lock screen I thought it might be interfering with the slideshow. So I decided to uninstall that software to see if it would help ...

... and that fixed it for my laptop.

Just a thought in case you have something similar on your machine.
