Windows 10 Doesn't Fit to Screen

Hi there,

I've just upgraded my desktop PC to Windows 10, from Windows 8.1, however, the taskbar, and the rest of the screen, stretches off of the monitor.

The graphics drivers are all up to date, all Windows updates installed, rebooted, set resolution, etc.

I also tweaked the monitor settings, they are all as they should be.

So - how do I get Windows 10 to fit to my monitor screen? Every other Windows version has been fine.

I am also experiencing this problem where Windows 10 doesn't quite fit on to my monitor. Hopefully someone can help us with this problem as soon as possible because it is quite annoying.

You should be able to adjust the size of the screen if you have NVidia then download the newst version from today

there is a adjust screen size click and apply then you can with the sliders adjust the screen size

With Intel Ive got Intel HD Graphics control panel where I can adjust the screen size

if its not broke don't fix it

I spoke to Microsoft Technical support.

We did a lot of troubleshooting, and it appears the issue is with the 15.x driver for AMD Graphics Cards, particularly on the R7 2xx series.

The issue has been escalated to level 2 technical support, and they are currently evaluating the system logs and error reports - and will give me a call tomorrow to discuss getting a patch pushed out.

I found a way to fix this if your computer has the AMD Catalyst Control Center.

1. Open the Device Manager (right click on Start-Icon in left corner)

2. Then click Display Adapters and click your display card.

3. Click on "Search for a driver on the computer" (second entry)

4. Click "Select driver from list"

5. Pick the newest one you have

6. Restart your computer and it should work.....mine did

Here is the link to where I found the help, though how I state it may be simpler and more concise....

http://www.tenforums.com/graphic-cards/14317-ati-radeon-300-driver-problem.html#post332684

It is NavyLCDR's Post......the second from the bottom if it doesn't bring you there automatically...

When the AMD Catalyst Control Center works go under My Digital Flat Panels and from there to Scaling Options......scale it as needed

Hopefully this helps!       Also feel free to post this on any sites where people have questions pertaining to this......It is always good to try and help others too!

Hi, to everyone who has their comp hooked up to a HD TV. Mine didn't fit screen properly with the rec resolution. It was merely the television settings that was the problem. With my computer the TV setting for screen had to be set to native whereas when I was watching cable my TV settings for screen was set to full. Changed it for my comp now everything in windows 10 fits perfectly on my TV display. Hopes this helps.

Yep that worked for me... Although with my TV, which is an LG the setting was called "Just Scan".

It's not just AMD, I have Windows 10 with Intel i7 chip.  If the display fits my screen, the print is way too small to read.  If I can read it, it's way too big for the screen.  On a bank statement the account will be on the left and the balance will be about 12 inches off the right side of the screen.  RIght now I'm typing but not able to read the words because the font is way too small.  Give me back my old computer and Windows 8.......
