Win10 keeps resetting 2 monitor desktop settings

I have a dual monitor 1080p setup, and lately every time I start Windows 10 it defaults to one monitor @ VGA settings. I have to go into Display > Settings and tell it to extend the display across two monitors, which fixes the problem. However, how can I tell Windows to keep this setting when starting up?

Hi Lewist,

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.

This issue might occur if there is display settings.

I suggest you to configure the display settings for multiple settings by referring to the Microsoft Help Article. The below link is also applicable to Windows 10.

Get the best display on your monitor:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14217/windows-8-get-best-display-on-your-monitor

Please get back to us with an update on issue with using dual monitor on Windows 10, we will be happy to help.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response. However, I believe you have missed the problem.

I can set the display settings to work as desired. However, after turning off the PC and restarting, the display settings are not retained.  So the question is: what do I need to do for Windows 10 to retain the desired display settings after being set, and the PC restarted?
