Edge is missing from my Windows 10 Pro installation. It vanished during a routine update and nothing I can do seems to restore it. I have done the following:
Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/run-the-troubleshooter-for-windows-apps
No problems found, rebooted when done.
Check for updates for apps from Windows Store and install if you find any.
Installed all updates, rebooted, checked for updates again and found none.
Also, check for Windows updates.
All updates installed, rebooted when done.
Try to run the following commands and check if it helps.
-
Type CMD in Search. Right click on it to run as an administrator.
-
Type the following 4 commands at the CMD prompt:
WSReset.exe.
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc /scannow
No problems found, rebooted when done.
powershell
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
-
Close the CMD window.
-
Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.
DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE.
