Hello Uzair,

This could be due to driver conflicts or changes in the settings.

Please provide us more information to help you further:

  1. Did you make any changes to the computer/webcam settings prior to this issue?

  2. Do you get any error messages/code when this issue occurs?

  3. Is the webcam built-in or external? If external, what is the make and model of the webcam?

  4. Do you face the same issue with Windows 10 Camera app?

I suggest you to update the camera driver and check if it helps. You may follow the article below for the same.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/ad5a063e-5f57-c715-2566-b983195752c1/update-drivers-in-windows-10

Hello Uzair,

I suggest you to check the setting. Most of the software’s have settings to reverse the image. So check if any of these settings have been set to reverse the image. You may contact with the manufacture’s support for better assistance on this issue.

If issue persists, do get back to us. We will be happy to assist you.

Did you ever get resolution to the mirror image problem with video and the Camera on Windows 10.  I have the same issue and would love to know how to fix it.

The article mentioned above does not solve the problem. It does not point to anything that tells how to mirror the camera image.

I have this problem as well and found a slight workaround.

My webcam was displaying a mirror image of what it was seeing.  However, when I took and saved a picture (or video), the image was displayed correctly.  I don’t know why the Windows camera software reverses the image when saving it, but it does.

After checking around, I found a registry hack that would flip the image being displayed, however the software would still reverse the image when saving a picture or video.  So, if you plan to use the webcam as a baby monitor (or any other kind of monitor), the hack will let you reverse the picture being shown.  If you want to take pictures or videos, the leave the reverse image showing because the software will save it in the correct orientation.

As always with a registry hack, be sure you’ve made a backup before making changes, just in case something goes wrong.  Here is the hack (some of the values may be slightly different):

Run REGEDIT

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\

SYSTEM\

CurrentControlSet\

Control\

Class\

{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\

0000\

VIDEOPROCAMP

There is a 32bit DWORD entry HFLIP.

Change the value from 0 to 1 or 1 to 0, to reverse the effects of the camera image.

I hope this helps.
