esu.exe

What is esu.exe and is it harmful to a Windows 10 computer?

Hi Mortat,

Based on our resources, the esu.exe file is not part of any Windows process or service. Since it is an executable file, perhaps it came along with a recent download or installation you've made. May we ask where you're seeing this file and what recent changes have you made on the system?

In the meantime, we suggest downloading and running the Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) to check the system for any threats. Click here to download MSRT from the Download Center.

Note: The scan might take some time, depending on how much data you have on your PC.

Let us know how it turns out.
