constantly asks me to confirm my identity by entering pin number

Windows is constantly asking me to confirm my identity (microsoft account) by entering the pin number I have already entered when I logged on to my pc. It only started recently so what the hell is with that? Have a second pc on which this never happens?

Hi Camilla74
I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. Check after each step.

1. Run SFC Scan & DISM

2. I would recommend that you perform a Windows 10 repair upgrade. This is not a Reset or Reinstall of Windows. Repair upgrade fixes all Windows errors and retains all files, applications and settings. Hence, you will not lose any data /program/app while backup is a good idea. Below is a good guide to perform repair upgrade

Hi Vijai

Ran sfc scannow, found corrupt files, then ran all DISM.exe, files were repaired, reebooted, ran sfc scannow again, now all looks good so I hope that did the job. Otherwise I will the Windows repair.
