Why can't I sign in or manage my microsoft accounts?

So I can log on through my internet browser, but I am unable to login on the windows store or through the settings on my computer. I first noticed this issue when I tried to download an app in the windows store, but I was unable to. What would happen is it would ask me to choose an account and when I chose mine from the menu it would bring me back to the app page and nothing changed. If I tried to login in to my account in the app store it would do the same thing where I would choose my account and it just doesn't actually log me in.

I noticed this problem isn't just in the windows store. If I type in manage my account and go through that menu in windows 10 then I face the same issue. I can select my account to sign in, but it doesn't actually sign me in. I have no idea on how to fix this issue and any help would be much appreciated.
