Windows 10 - Orange Screen of Death OOSD?

Hi supporters,

I just encountered a problem with my computer running on Windows 10. While starting an online game of Battlefield 4, the computer abruptly (of course it is abruptly when you get a Windows Screen of Death) showed an Orange screen of death, which to me felt unusual, since I am used to seeing a blue screen of death.

I attached an image, which is blurry, must of been the nervous hands ;).

DRIVER_?something?_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ?something?

I would be thankful for the help!

Hello Mackonen,

We regret the inconvenience. Let me assist you.

Now, before we proceed any further, let us know a few more details on the below questions.

  • Did you make any changes to the PC prior to Windows 10 upgrade?
  • What is the make and model of the PC?
  • What is the complete error message along with the .sys file which shows up?
  • Are you able to boot to Windows desktop under any circumstances?

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check if you are able to start Windows in Recovery Environment.
Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE)
Refer to the section Entry points into WinRE

  • Once you are able to access the Recovery Environment, perform a System Restore.
Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore
  • If prompted, click/tap on an administrator account you want to provide credentials for.
  • If this is your first time doing a System Restore, click/tap on Next.
  • If you had previously done a System Restore, select (dot) Choose a different restore point, and click/tap on Next.
  • Select a restore point that you would like to restore Windows back to.
  • Review what will be affected by using the selected restore point. When finished, click/tap on Close.
  • When you are ready to do a System Restore with a selected restore point, click/tap on Next.

Write to us with the updated status and the required information related to Windows 10 performance, for us to be able to assist you further.

Thank You.
