Security Center failed to validate caller with error DC040780

Get this Error every Day in Application LOG. I use only Windows Security Center (aka Defender).
I have the same issue

Hi,

I am using Symantec Endpoint Protection and face the same issue, since I don't need the security center I just changed the following registry keys and after a reboot the error disappeared.


[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SecurityHealthService]

"Start"=dword:00000004


[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wscsvc]

"Start"=dword:00000004

Hi Glen,

I just faced the problem, that the eventlog of my machine was full of errors about Symantec Endpoint Protection and security center shutting down each other every 5 minutes or so. Since I am responsible for imaging around 5000 Windows clients I needed a solution to disable it everywhere on installation and ended up finding a post reffering to the registry keys:
