How to fix Run time error: atibtmon.exe

Method 1: Check if the issue resolves in Safe Mode with Networking.

Method 2 : Put the computer into clean boot state.

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. To disable all non-Microsoft services consult the article called Clean Boot.

Right I tried both and option 2 (clean boot) seemed to work so I got back on this site to say it was helpful then was asked to sign in to leave a comment:- after that the blasted  thing came up again, and again, and has happened 4 time since I started typing this :-(
