I'm here today because I'm having serious issues with my new laptop with Windows 10 installed. I've been getting a blue screen with the error message "Driver Power State Failure" This happened once the first day I used it and then it never happened again
until I received my device back from HP after they replaced my screen because of damaged pixels. I thought that maybe upgrading my HD to SSD and adding some extra ram would help boost things a bit but I don't think that made any difference as it kept happening
even after the installation. So, I had it reverted back to the original hardware and now I'm just trying to figure out how to stop this from happening.
Now it's happening randomly every 5min - 3+hrs and I don't know how to fix it. Even after multiple complete restorations of my OS it still occurs.
I've read a bunch of solutions on these boards and have yet to find a solution that works for me.
I understand that there's information regarding this error located in a dump file in C:\Windows\minidump and I've found that file, but I don't know what to do with it. Please help. I will list some of my hardware/software specs as well.
CPU: Intel i7-7700 HQ
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 1050ti
Hard Drive: 1TB HGST HTS721010A9E630

If there's anything else I can do to help you help me, please let me know. Thank you in advance for your time.
EDIT: I will check back in a few hours.
