Creators Update causing Java crashes

Since updating to Windows 10.0 , 64 bit Build 15063 (10.0.15063.0) I have 2 different Java apps that now crash with the same error.

(Some relevant data from the error files):

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005)

# JRE version: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (8.0_131-b11) (build 1.8.0_131-b11)
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (25.131-b11 mixed mode windows-x86 )

# Problematic frame:
# C  [MSVCR100.dll+0x121f4]

JavaThread "Swing-Shell" daemon

One app crashes at startup, one when I try to save a file.

I have found some other posts about other apps with similar issues, but no real solution.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Glen,

I too had an app that would crash when trying to save/open a file after installing the Creators Update (except my version is 1703), and I had the same data from the error file. I reached out to the app's customer service and they told me that if I had created a GodMode folder, then deleting the folder would solve the problem - and it did!
