BSOD - tcpip.sys failure

Hi,

In the past couple of weeks I've been getting a BSOD error tcpip.sys failure, stop code: System Service Exception. I've reset tcpip via cmd every time as well as updated all my network drivers but I still I get the same error. Below is a link to my dump files. Please let me know how to resolve. Thank you.

Hi Dan

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Your minidump files indicate your system crashes are caused by a driver named gnf.sys

Not a lot is written about that driver, it is a bit of a mystery and seems to be associated to CAD software, do you have that installed on your system?

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your help. I do not have any CAD specific software but I do have some GPU benchmarking software - MSI Afterburner, Furmark,  3D Mark etc... Do you think i should reinstall those programs or just remove them altogether?

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Dan

The best option is to go to C:\Windows\System32, in File Explorer, search for gnf.sys, then rename that to gnf.sys.old

That will stop that driver loading, wait to see if your system is stable . . .
