Bluescreen registry error

Hi All,

I have a Bluescreen with Registry Error on my PC and cannot launch the Windows desktop. After system restart it takes me to BIOS with information: ROM Image is not loaded / ROM Image update denied

Steps performed so far:

  1. Tried to change BIOS settings like Boot options (UEFI - Legacy) and Boot Priorities

  2. Troubleshoot via Windows 10 DVD with following options: I tried all available options likes Startup repair, Uninstall Updates etc.

  3. System Restore and I get: cannot install windows 10 on disk 0 partition 1. I have tried to change partition styles MBR / GPT

  4. BIOS reset by Jumper in motherboard

Unfortunately I failed with all above procedures. Any tips how can I proceed?

Hi BartekNX

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

1
If none of the options in the Recovery Environment are working for you, then you indicated you tried to install Windows 10, did you use a newly created Windows 10 USB for that?

2
You indicate you cannot install Windows 10 on Disk 0, partition 1, please provide a photo of that window that shows the partitions on your drive and another photo of the error you receive on that window.

  1. Actually not, I have DVD with Windows 10 what I purchased together with my PC. Should I get an USB with installation?

  2. Screenshots attached. I have polish language on my home PC, I hope it is not a problem. Otherwise I can translate it. The button next (dalej) is unactive so I cannot proceed.

Hi BartekNX

Note: this process will delete all data on that drive.

To install Windows 10 on that drive, from the top down, select each partition and click Delete

When the whole drive is marked as 'Unallocated Space', select that and click 'Next' to begin the installation.

Hi DaveM121,

So I have tried to delete partitions but after clicking Delete and waiting few seconds, nothing happen and still have these partitions available (also tried to refresh). Another thing is that under partitions 2 and 3 the Delete is unactive (grey color).

I am aware that I will loose the data on my drive and it is fine. I just need the way to run the installation finally.

Hi BartekNX

This is the only process left, and please note, this will delete everything on that drive.

At the very start of the Installation Process, press Shift + F10, or Shift + Fn + F10 to open Command Prompt

Run this command and hit Enter:

diskpart

Run this command and hit Enter:

list disk
(Make note of the disk number you want to convert and enter it into the next command - replace X)

Run this command and hit Enter:

select disk X

Run this command and hit Enter:

clean

Run this command and hit Enter:

convert gpt

Then close Command Prompt

Okey, I hope it is not the only process left really as I got "The disk you specified is not MBR formatted".

Any other ideas then?

Hi BartekNX

That error is okay the other commands succeeded, now restart and try installing Windows 10 by selecting the unallocated space on that drive and click next.
