The error ID 1008 from Perflib in the Event Viewer, Windows 10

In the Event Viewer Windows 10 there is following error ID 1008 :

"The Open Procedure for service BITS in DLL "library C\Windows\system32\bitsperf.dll has failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code".

Would appreciate some advices how to fix it.

Thanks and best regards,

Ewa

Thank you for the update Ewa,

We advise that you run SFC Scan to repair any possible corrupted files that may cause the error. If the SFC scan also does not help, try running a DISM to further repair the system. We'll be providing you a wiki article created by ZigZag3143, for the steps on how to do this for both troubleshooting methods:

System file check (SFC) Scan and Repair System Files & DISM to fix things SFC cannot

Let us know the results.
