Realtek SD CardReader not working on windows 10

Hi.

I have tried everything, but my SD card reader does not work on my Lenovo Laptop. i just upgraded to the latest driver, but it still does not detect the card reader. If i use a USB multi card reader it works fine, but the internal card reader does not work.

have you tried the troubleshooting steps found in this link? http://www.thewindowsclub.com/sd-card-readed-not-working-windows

Yes, i did. Installed new driver, no effect. The driver is seemingly running without any problems when i look at device manager.

Change drive letter; i can't because the drive is not showing, anywhere.

Any other suggestions?

It appears that you have a hardware problem.  You say that you can't see the drive anywhere right after you say you looked at it in device manager.

I can see the "Realtek PCIE CardReader" in the Device Manager list, yes. Running without any error or problems. But the strange thing is that the memory card slot used to work just fine, and nothing has happened to the PC before it suddenly stopped working from one day to the next. I mean i haven't dropped it on the floor or any other physical impact.
