Question

Q: Blue Screen of Death: Faulty_Hardware_Corrupted_Page during Win10 wakeup and needs to restart

Hi,

Every couple of weeks I get Blue Screen of Death with a message Faulty_Hardware_Corrupted_Page and system needs to restart - after that it works normally for the next few weeks until it happens again. Most of the time it happens during system wakeup, but sometimes it happens when I just continue using computer after small period of inactivity even if it wasn't yet a sleep.

I didn't find solution in Event Viewer that I can work out myself so I am sending you attached the last two dump files that were created during last two events when I got BSOD. Also I am sending you MSinfo and System informations in the links:

These crashes were related to memory corruption (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Please run verifier first.  You do not need to run memtest yet unless verifier does not find the cause, or you want to.

If you are over-clocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!  If you do not know what this means you probably are not

1-Driver verifier (for complete directions see our wiki here)

2-Memtest. (You can read more about running memtest here)

Hi,

I have run Driver verifier and I've got message DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (stdcfltn.sys)

What should I do next to solve the problem with that driver?

Thanks for your help

Hi,

Since my last reply, I have reinstalled Windows 10 and my problem is almost the same. Now I don't have blue screen of death, but every time i wake up my laptop from sleep it crashes and restarts.

I had run driver verifier again and all I've got is message:

DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION

and second time I restart the system there is another message:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Note that there is no name of the driver, only the message.

On this link I have uploaded the newest dmp file and MSinfo32

If these are from the re-installed OS you have obviously added things back.

The one DMP file was driver verified and related to Aicharger.sys (Related to AiCharger.sys ASUS Charger driver from ASUSTek Computer Inc.)  It is not necessary and often causes crashes.

You have other OLD drivers that either need to be removed or updated

AiCharger.sys    9/22/2011 10:04:40 PM
atkwmiacpi64.sys    7/2/2013 4:35:32 AM
dump_iaStorA.sys    9/18/2013 11:33:51 AM
iaStorA.sys    9/18/2013 11:33:51 AM

When you are trying to troubleshoot a crashing problem and wipe and clean install you need to not install anything that did not come on the OS dvd, then wait a couple of days or a week just to see if it crashes, then start adding things back one at a time.

Somehow I think I've removed Asus Charger driver by uninstalling it from Add and Remove Programs, but I can't locate and remove or update other drivers that you mentioned. How can i find them and what is procedure? Can I just remove the folder with that driver or I need to uninstall it?

Here is my newest dump file from this morning
