Stop Windows 10 upgrade notification on Windows 7

Original title : windows 10 notification

Has anyone been able to permanently get rid of windows 10 icon in the notification bar.  I mark it to hid but when I start up it comes back.  I'm running windows 7 and and am not interested in any upgrades.  The web site gives direction for turning it off but it does not appear in the turn off screen.
