Sculpt Comfort Mouse not working with Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and since the upgrade my Sculpt Comfort Mouse isn't working.

My computer cannot detect it when I try and reconnect it either.

According to this: https://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-au/support/compatibility it should be compatible.

Is this possibly a problem with my computers Bluetooth?

Any help is appreciated,

Thank you.

Hi Mel,

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10!

Do you get any error message?

I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if the issue persists.

Method 1:

Run the Hardware & Devices troubleshooter and check if it helps.

a) Press Start button from the keyboard.

b) Type “Troubleshooting” in the search bar and press “Enter”.

c) In the “Troubleshooting” window, click on “View All” on the left pane.

d) Click on “Hardware and Devices”.

e) Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Run as Administrator”.

f) Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

If the issue still exists, try the next method.

Method 2: Update Drivers

Refer to the following article and update all the drivers available.

How to: Install and Update drivers in Windows 10

In addition to that, install the Bluetooth driver in compatibility mode with Windows 8.1.

Firstly download the driver from your computer's manufacturer website and then install it.

Refer (Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows)

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/older-programs-compatible-version-windows

Note: This link also applies to Windows 10.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance with Windows, we’ll be glad to assist you.

Hi,

I tried all methods that you detailed above but none of them have worked.

I don't get an error message, but when I try and connect the mouse (settings/devices/connected devices/add device) I get the message "no devices found".

Thank you

I have this issue also.

When I originally upgraded to Win 10 Pro x64 I had no issues. As of the most recent updates (which automatically download and install) my mouse no longer connects to my PC, so I am back to using a poor quality cord mouse... very annoying.

I have tried the suggestions by Harkanwar Singh to no avail. I have tried to update drivers but there is no Win 10 driver on the Sculpt website.

Help!

EDIT: I have also attempted to use the compatibility troubleshoot tool but this does not work because the mouse drivers are .sys not .exe

Hi,

Mine ended up working for a bit when I updated to the windows 10 version of my computer's Bluetooth driver:

right click on start button--> device manager--> right click on Bluetooth driver--> update driver software--> search automatically for driver software.

(if there's more than one under Bluetooth you can do thus for all of them)

But now the Bluetooth driver for the mouse itself is giving me attempted-switch-from-DPC errors after about 10 minutes of use.

Hopefully they'll update the mouse driver soon and it'll start working again.

I have updated the bluetooth driver, using driverpack solution software
After I turned on the mouse and left 1 minute stop, when I saw that everything was as before, I clicked the button on the back of the mouse, press and hold for a few seconds until the pc detected
This worked for me

Whit Windows 8.1 the mouse work good with these computer.

Now with Windows 10, all mouse NOT work good, because the computers connect with the mouse, but only microsoft button (blue color) work on the mouse.

I had problems too in the start, but it turned out, after I had read the manual for the mouse, that I had not pushed the "bluetooth" button on the mouse long enough. When I hold it for some seconds it started flashing steady, and Windows detected it (on the Bluetooth settings page).

It might also be that installing the latest edition of Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center made it work, however it didn't seem like that was the reason it worked.

If it's not working after reboot, change the bluetooth driver with the generic driver.
In device manager, bluetooth, select the bluetooth device (for example: Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth 3.o + High Speed Adapter),
update driver software, browse my computer for driver software,
Let me pick from a list ..., select: Generic Bluetooth Adapter.
