Maps App not working

I was using the Maps app before and it was working fine, until today I tried to use it again but it wont work anymore. when im opening the app, it just loads for a second or two and it crashes or close. No error messages, its just closing. then i tried to update to app, it wont update, an error is showing on the store. i tried check the app in the settings Apps & Features, but the Maps app is UNAVAILABLE and i cant do anything.

any solutions and suggestions please ?

Method 1: Apps Troubleshooter

Run the Apps Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

An automated troubleshooter is a tool that can find and automatically fix some problems with your computer. These troubleshooters aren't designed to fix every problem, but they're a useful tool to try because they can often save you time and effort.

Method 2: Switch to local account

If the issue persists, switch the account to a local account and then back to a Microsoft account and check again.

1. Press Windows key + I to open settings.

2. Click Accounts > Your email and accounts

3. Click "sign in with a local account instead" and follow the screen instructions to create the local account.

4. Once you are signed in through a local account, repeat steps 1 and 2 and click "sign in with a Microsoft account instead".

5. Enter your Microsoft account credentials during the setup.

Thanks method 2 worked!

But i think there's a problem with the windows update, because now my Camera app, is not working, it was working just fine 2 days ago, and also my Photo app is not working as well...

Try Updating the Apps with issues.

I suggest you to update the Camera Apps, from the Windows Store. This may resolve the issue. Refer the link below for details about updating Apps on Windows 10.

I am having same issue with my windows phone. This has also effected apps like UBER and OLA. I am impaired of using them in a dire need situation. Suffered once, day before yesterday and more to come I guess.

I had read it earlier. It did not help that is why I posted it. However, the issue is resolved as the downloaded maps were corrupt and I re-downloaded them and now all the map related apps are working fine.
